Pre-IEP Family Workbook Series

PCAST Workbook publication cover

The Pre-IEP Family Workbook series was developed by the Person-Centered Approaches in Schools and Transition project (PCAST) at The Boggs Center on Disability and Human Development in collaboration with the New Jersey Department of Education, Office of Special Education. The workbooks in this series promote age-appropriate development of self-advocacy and self-determination skills. These critical skills will support each child’s path to a meaningful life as they enable students to clearly communicate their needs and advocate for their own successes.

Each workbook provides the opportunity to capture and share person-centered information that will help shape the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). Students and their families will be able to share the information and insights gained from using the workbooks with the case manager before and/or during the IEP meeting.
