The Direct Support Professional Competency Based Performance Appraisal is an optional tool developed by The Boggs Center in partnership with the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities to assist Frontline Supervisors with evaluating Direct Support Professionals across competency areas. The appraisal allows Direct Support Professionals and Frontline Supervisors to rate performance for each skill statement within a competency area, and facilitates collaborative conversations to identify areas of strength, needs for improvement, and strategies to support success.
