NJLEND, The Boggs Center’s clinical interdisciplinary Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities Program, collaborated on a joint workshop with the Rutgers Eagleton Institute of Politics Science and Politics fellowship. “Bridge Builders: Empowering Scientists to Inform State Policy Through the Committee Hearing Process” was held on March 22, 2024, in New Brunswick. Deborah M. Spitalnik, PhD, Professor of Pediatrics and Family Medicine & Community Health and Director of The Boggs Center and NJLEND, was a panel presenter on “providing testimony - a scientist and clinician perspective.” Deborah M. Spitalnik, PhD, and Colleen McLaughlin, MEd, Associate Director, facilitated roundtable discussions on “Health Care for People with Developmental Disabilities” and “Home and Community Based Supports for People with Disabilities,” respectively.
