Deborah M. Spitalnik, PhD Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award by AUCD

Deborah M. Spitalnik, PhD, Executive Director of The Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities and Professor of Pediatrics and Family Medicine & Community Health at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD). Presented at the annual AUCD Awards Ceremony on November 7th in Washington, DC, the award recognizes Dr. Spitalnik’s lifetime commitment to serving people with developmental disabilities and their families and is considered AUCD’s highest accolade. Conferred during The Boggs Center’s 40th year, this award highlights the innumerable contributions of the founding Executive Director and her impact on state and federal policy, systems, and the lives of people with disabilities, families, students, and her colleagues in New Jersey and across the country.
