Barbara String is a Program Coordinator and NJ College of Direct Support (CDS) Central Administrator at The Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities. In this role, she is responsible for providing technical assistance to DDD service providers on use of the CDS, system maintenance, troubleshooting, dissemination of CDS related communications and reporting. She assists with training registration and verification for Boggs Center trainings related to the CDS, Support Coordination, and Self-Directed Services. Barbara also supports the coordination of customer service and is a liaison to human resources for The Boggs Center.

Prior to her employment with The Boggs Center, Barbara was the Associate Director of Human Resources at the Arc of Hunterdon County and was responsible for recruitment of direct support staff for group homes, day programs, and community-based supports. She assisted with direct support professional and supervisor trainings, maintained compliance with NJ DDD mandated employee requirements and managed employee relations, engagement, and communications. With her HR background, Barbara has a strong commitment to continuing education for direct support professionals (DSP) and she is dedicated to creating a career pathway for DSPs.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in General Arts and Sciences with an emphasis in Communications from the Pennsylvania State University and holds a senior professional human resources certification from the Society for Human Resource Management, SHRM-SCP.
